3 weeks old...
Ok, so he must dream about food.. Today is the first day he has smiled with his eyes totally open.. He was smiling at Kyle this morning as Kyle was holding him and talking to him! AS you can see, Kyle loves to spike his hair. Shoot, he has enough of it to play with, we might as well!
He got his first bath at 17 days old. I think he liked it b/c he didn't cry even once! He did take the opportunity to pee on Kyle, that must have felt good, to just let it go and not have something holding it in near him!! Oh and the pic with Kyle and Kaeden looking at the fish tank was priceless. Dad and son bonding...Wednesday, April 15, 2009

38 weeks
I thought I would just post some pics of me at 38 weeks as I approach the due date. I don't know how much longer I will be putting pics on here b/c Kaeden will be here any day... I can't decide if I have changed at all in the last 2 weeks. My next appt is on Monday, March 30. We will find out our options then. I wanted to post a couple of pics of the crib too. Kyle put it together and so I set it up. Now the room needs to be cleaned up a little more and then we will be done!!!

36 weeks, 4 days
I went to the doctor today. I weighed 157.5, hmmmm I think I lost a couple of pounds when I had the flu.. so, 22.5 lbs gained thus far. The good news? I am 2.5-3 cm dilated and as he was feeling for that, he touched little Kaeden's head. :-) I heard the heartbeat but forgot to ask how fast it was...Everything else was great, my doc keeps saying I am his favorite patient because all seems to be going so perfect! Dr. King mentioned again how big my bag of waters was, no wonder my belly is so big. Kaeden must be nestled in there quite nicely. My next appt is March 30, 2 weeks from today, IF I haven't had Kaeden by then.. So, here are my 36 weeks pics...
Ok, so I am sorry this is sooo late! I had the flu all last week, whew, that isn't fun, especially when you are pregnant.... Well anyway, on March 6, at 35 weeks, my small group Bible study gave me a baby shower! There are only 3 other couples that go so it was rather small, but so enjoyable! Kyle got to participate in a game for the men, who could drink beer out of a baby bottle the fastest... Needless to say, he didn't win, and he pretty much needed to be burped as soon as he got done... Poor boy. But we had a great time so here are a couple of the pics.. I got some awesome gifts and even got one of those diaper cakes...

32 Weeks!
Well, well, well, it is finally in the countdown to the end! Even though my due date is approximately 8 weeks away, I am pretty sure I will be having this little boxer before then. I went for my 32 week appt this past Wed. I had to see Major Holland as Dr. King was busy with ivf's this month. My blood pressure was the lowest it has been (it hasn't ever been high) at 99/63 for all you who know anything about bp. I am weighing in at 155.8 lbs, which is a gain of 20 lbs so far. Oooh getting very close to a gain of 23 lbs, my weight gain with Savana. As the doc was feeling my belly, she says, "Oh, he is definitely head down. I feel his head down here and his leg or is that a knee..." So, more than likely, he won't be moving, he is there to stay! I have been getting my rib cage kicked a pretty good bit, which is fine, I always like to know he is ok down there so a little pain is worth it! His heart rate was in the 130's, which has slowed down a little bit. I don't think I mentioned in the last post, but I have noticed that ONE of my legs has 2 very smally spider veins, guess that comes with pregnancy and standing all day (even with my compression hose).... I have been to a breastfeeding class, and plan on making one more. One more month of work and I am done! My last day will be March 13, my 36 week mark. Then I can focus on getting things ready and set up (like the crib- which I STILL don't know where it is going....) Did I ever mention my nickname at work is Spaulding? Until next time....

28 Weeks!
I feel like I am on the stretch toward delivery! Only 12 weeks left, and honestly, I don't think I will go that far! This baby should be out at the end of March, mark my word... :-) I had my 28 wk appt. on Wed and I am at 151.6 lbs, about 16 lbs heavier than when I became pregnant. My dr said everything was perfect. Kaeden's heartrate was 155bpm, which is normal for him. As Dr. King was feeling around, he was like, "Wow, your baby is tiny!" I took that as abnormal and he retracted and said he meant that the baby was tiny compared to my larger than normal bag of waters and that the baby seemed the right size for his age. Well there ya go, that explains this big ol belly! After answering all my questions, he even removed a small ingrown toenail! A doc of all trades. I got my rhogam shot and now we are ready for the next appt, 32 weeks, which we will hopefully have an ultrasound and see if the baby is head first.... I have been having Braxton Hicks for the last 2 weeks or so, which I never had with Savana so at first I didn't know what was going on! My tummy tightens all up and gets so hard and uncomfortable... that happens about 5 times a day!
The next item on the agenda is to tell about that small baby shower that Kyle's ward (7D in Wilford Hall) put on for us and one other expecting couple. They ordered Chinese for everyone and someone made a HUGE cake which was really nice. We received some Target gift cards, onesies, diapers, clothes, towels, blankets, and lots of other necessities that will be less on my list to buy now... I think Kyle had more fun than I did, check out his face in these pics....
